Dancehall reggae artist Intence started the new year with a bang, releasing his debut album VOYAGE on January 1, 2026, continuing the New Year’s Day tradition he began in 2018. The sixteen-track project draws from Intence’s upbringing in the eastern edge of Kingston’s Tavern community, exploring themes of survival, ambition, and the long-lasting effects of trauma.

VOYAGE features collaborations with reggae heavyweights Tarrus Riley, Jah Cure, and Afrobeats sensation Bad Boy Timz, blending introspective lyricism with high-energy rhythms. The album made an immediate impact, debuting at No. 1 on the U.S. iTunes Reggae Albums chart.

Alongside the release, Intence dropped a short film directed by AKA.RUPPI/NOWorNEVER, offering a cinematic companion to the album’s storytelling and deepening the project’s artistic vision. VOYAGE follows his 2025 EP, Sólo Chicas, further cementing his rise as a dynamic voice in contemporary reggae and dancehall.
